Biography
She is an Assistant Professor at NOVA University of Lisbon – School of Social Sciences and Humanities. She holds a PhD in Digital Media from the international program UT Austin | Portugal, a Master’s degree in Contemporary Culture and New Technologies and a Bachelor degree in Communication Sciences (both at NOVA FCSH). She published two books on cultural journalism (one in press) and several scientific articles, eight of which are indexed to Scopus and three to WOS. She supervised 46 master’s theses and one doctoral dissertation (and three in progress).
At NOVA FCSH, she is also an integrated researcher at ICNOVA – NOVA Communication Institute, editorial coordinator of the science and culture communication project + Lisboa and coordinator of the postgraduate course in Communication of Culture and Creative Industries. She is a consultant to the Deputy Director for Communication at NOVA FCSH, where she was co-responsible for digital transformation at the level of the website and the image of the faculty. Her research focuses on media innovation, digital journalism, cultural communication, cultural journalism, and cultural and creative industries. Professionally, she has worked as a journalist, scriptwriter, copywriter and multiplatform editorial coordinator with a significant connection to culture and civil society.
